“By your side is the only place I want to be.”

Navigating her relationship with werewolf shifter Seth hasn’t been easy, but Clara is beginning to see just how serious he is about being there not only for her, but for her kids as well. Yet her happiness and hopes for the future are short-lived when her disapproving ex-husband attempts to throw it all off course.

Seth is more than ready to start his life together with Clara now that their relationship has gone public, but his past has other ideas. After a surprising visitor, and grave news that should have been liberating, he might just have to return to the one place he swore he never would again. Letting his old family threaten the new one he’s forming with Clara—isn’t an option.

“Howling Blooms lives up to Chasing Petals and delivers a really satisfying HEA that wraps everything up beautifully.

This book leans more intense than the first, which makes sense because the stakes are so much higher. Seth’s world comes crashing in, and the threats feel real -his family is ruthless and will stop at nothing. Watching him be forced to leave Clara and her kids to protect them adds a layer of tension that runs through the whole story. You really feel that distance, and how hard it is on both of them.

Clara’s growth in this one was so good to see. She’s still herself, but you can tell she’s healing- especially when it comes to her self-worth and body image. Being with Seth has changed how she sees herself, and you can feel her slowly letting her guard down. Their relationship just keeps getting stronger, even when it’s being tested and used against them, and by the end it really feels like they were always meant to find each other.

And Seth….. he’s still that guy. Protective, steady, and fully there for Clara and her kids. He proves his care for them it over and over again.

Joe (the ex-husband) still made my blood boil, but watching karma catch up to him was incredibly satisfying. (SCREW YOU JOE! )

The humor is still there in small moments, and the spice definitely holds up .. if anything, it’s turned up just a bit from the last book. But like the first book, it always feels earned and tied to their connection, not just thrown in.

I really felt at it’s core, this book is about healing: healing from the past, from self-doubt, and from everything life throws at you in the moment. And by the time you get to the end, it just leaves you with that warm, heart full feeling.

Overall, this was a really strong, satisfying conclusion to the duet.”

A sizzling and sweet finale for the paranormal romance of Clara and Seth, TRDHB left me drooling for more.

The werewolf scenes in this book felt so important and I hope Kae will expand on this world in the future, with a spin off series.

This books gets started off right away with the spice, and it keeps on hitting through the book, although by the last 25% there isn’t so much open door scenes (other than the one in the hotel, iykyk which was hot!) and the growth these two main characters go through is really inspiring.

One of the things I connected the most with in this book is the process of finding love again after (and during) a divorce and shared custody. You can tell Kae has done her research about post separation abuse, identity struggles for single moms, and the challenges that kids of divorce go through. I love that she gave Clare her HEA and Seth got a few bonus surprises as well!

The storyline was interesting. I was very excited for this book to see what happens with Seth’s family however, Claire was just annoying everything she freaked out about she couldn’t hold herself together was more of a burden rather than helping carry the weight she couldn’t do anything without Seth, which I found part of them being in a new relationship, but it was always, “I can’t do this you’re bringing too much drama” instead of “how we gonna handle this” and that’s what annoyed me. The book was still good The plot was interesting. The plot twist I didn’t see; I wish we had a little bit more insight on that with Ryan and with Katrina but i understood it wasnt actually part of Seth and Clara story I’d recommend this book but beware that the FMC is whiny.

•ARC READER• thank you, Krystal for the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this duet! It means so much to me.

A wonderful end to a cute, but dramatic series. This series had it all. Shifters, romance, drama, and all. I really enjoyed reading about Clara and Seth and I’m sad to see their story end but my goodness the ending had me in my feelings
